Asics 727 Weightlifting Shoes – The Best on the Market
In our opinion, the Asics 727 weightlifting shoes are the very best weightlifting shoes available today. These shoes feature a wide toe box and wooden heel, crafted from high-quality suede or leather to provide exceptional stability, comfort, and performance.

Key Details:
- Ships in their original box, securely packaged inside another box for protection.
- All Sales Final: No returns or exchanges, so please measure both feet carefully in centimeters. Use the larger foot’s measurement for selecting your size.
- Asics Japan no longer makes sizes over 28 cm, and custom shoe orders have been discontinued.
Sizing Advice:
- The suede version stretches over time, so you may want to size down by half. You can add insoles or wear thicker socks if they become too loose.
- The Asics 727 is a weightlifting shoe with wide fit and toe box, which may stretch with wear. If you’re in doubt, it’s better to choose a slightly smaller size, as the shoes will stretch but cannot shrink.
- The white leather version is stiffer, and we haven’t received enough feedback to comment on stretching.
- A few people from our gym that wear the suede Asics, and a handful of others we have spoken to, say that they could have gotten by with 1/2 size smaller because over time they got a bit loose.
- Some have intentionally purchased slightly smaller in anticipation of the break-in, and others have used a shoe stretcher to get them to fit perfectly. Err on the side of slightly smaller if you are in doubt.

Important Notes:
- We are not affiliated with Asics and are not a registered retailer. These shoes are imported for customers who have difficulty finding them.
- We offer no warranty, and all shoes are sold as-is.
- Over the years, we have sold hundreds of pairs of Asics 727’s. We inspect every pair when they arrive, and if we noticed anything unusual, we would send them back. However, in the past 10 years this has NEVER happened. These Asics are extremely high-quality weightlifting shoes. Notwithstanding, we have received a handful of complaints. The ones we got were always the same: “The rubber is peeling away from the sole.” This happens for obvious reasons – the front of the sole protrudes past the toe, which is not typical on lifting shoes. This gives the shoe a larger base and more stability, however some people drag their toe and this causes the separation. In almost every single case we have encountered this happening, it was with the trailing foot in the jerk. In addition, the rubber eventually will wear out, just as a nice dress shoe would. These can be glued or resoled by a cobbler.
- Because Asics weightlifting shoes are more expensive than the run-of-the-mill lifters, some assume that they are more durable. That is like comparing boots from Tom Ford to Timberlands. Price = quality, style, function, and comfort. Not necessarily durability.

Care Tip: Store your Asics 727 Weightlifting shoes in an Asics drawstring shoe bag, and use shoe trees to absorb moisture and maintain the shape after use. With proper care, these may be the last pair of lifting shoes you’ll ever need!

Measuring my feet took some time and the big toe box is nice, but I had to get a different size than expected. BE SURE TO MEASURE your feet before you buy these.
Nothing beats the sound of wood heel shoe cracking the platform during a training session. A must have for any lifter.
Comfortable, stylish, and functional. These shoes help me hit my PRs with confidence.
Used these for a national competition, and they performed flawlessly. The best lifting shoes I’ve owned.
I was hesitant to spend this much on lifting shoes, but after a few sessions, I can confidently say they are worth every penny!
I like the wide toe box; it lets my feet spread naturally while still providing solid support.
